This book is about a high school sophomore named Susannah Simon. Her father died and now she lives in California with her stepdad and three stepbrothers. Susannah (Suze) is also a mediator, which means that she can see, touch, and even talk to ghosts. It’s her job to guide them to their afterlife. In this book she meets a ghost of a woman asking her to tell “Red” that he didn’t kill her. Tracking down “Red” is not easy though. Suze’s investigation leads her to believing that her boyfriend is somehow involved in this mystery. She is led on a hunt for the truth with her ghost friend Jesse’s help. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys mystery, suspense, and lots of humor. If you enjoy Meg Cabot’s books then you will certainly like this one! (Grades 8 & Up)
