Charlie decides to transfer schools to begin her freshman year in an attempt to leave her mean girl past behind her. However, it’s not as easy as Charlie hoped when she discovers the girl she guiltily took a part in tormenting has transferred to her new school too. If that wasn’t enough, she also runs into her old neighbor and ex-best friend, Will, who is now a varsity lacrosse player and surprisingly good-looking. As Charlie spends more time with Will, she’s alarmed about the lacrosse team’s extreme hazing traditions and struggles between doing the right thing or falling back into the role of standing silently by while people do things she knows is wrong.
