Adopted from Pakistan at a young age, Sameera “Sparrow” Righton has traveled all over the world with her political family and usually remains unnoticed. When her father enters the presidential race, Sparrow is suddenly thrust into the spotlight, and the PR people decide to make her more "American" by calling her Sammy and writing a blog under this name. She goes along with their ideas for a bit, thinking it will help her father’s campaign, but with the help of some new friends soon decides that what she really wants is to be true to herself. (Grades 6 & Up)
